Electronic scoring targets (EST) are faster and more accurate than manual paper target scoring. In highpower rifle shooting, they also eliminate the time-consuming requirement for competitors to pull targets. Moreover, electronic target competition management software records and reports those scores in established competition formats faster and more effectively than any manual database. Nevertheless, in spite of these advantages, occasional problems, anomalies or complaints do occur and must be resolved by match officials. Annex D – Electronic Target Scoring Rules provides rules and guidelines for match officials to use in answering questions and resolving complaints regarding EST scoring.
